Sunday was another lovely day. Before my folks returned to Portland we headed down to Mukilteo Landing to watch the ferry boats, eat ice cream and bask in the rays. Aaden loved running around and touring the lighthouse with Nana and Papa.

Baby Boy Shower
My lovely sister-in-laws' Megan and Lacey threw baby boy and I shower on Saturday. The weather was fantastic so we were able to spend all afternoon out in our back yard celebrating. We felt very loved!
Here are a few photos snapped by my brother from the day:

Maternity Shoot
My mom and Kristofer were gracious enough to help take/assist me in getting a few maternity shots while we were on vacation. We also snapped a few family shots too. Thanks for your help guys!
Black Butte 2011
This past week was spent in our favorite Central Oregon spot, Black Butte Ranch. The weather was spectacular (thank goodness) and the company even better. We did lots of relaxing by the pool, playing out on the golf course in the evening, reading, shopping, fishing and eating! I have to say it was pretty difficult for me being nearly 37 weeks pregnant not to be able to do all of my usual activities. Regardless we were all thankful to have a week together as a family and a little R&R before baby brother comes.
I was pretty bad about taking pictures this year, but here are a few highlights from the trip:

Birthday Week
As usual, I felt very spoiled for my birthday. The week started off with a lovely celebration with my folks and brother and sister-in-law. On the day of, my SIL and MIL took me to get my nails done and out to lunch at a yummy Greek restaurant. That afternoon I was able to lay in the sun while my sweet husband (who took the day off) took care of things around the house. The day was topped off with yummy peach cobbler courtesy of my MIL, Renee'. We couldn't find any regular candles, so I was a young '1' year old. :)
Aaden always loves to help sing and blow out the candles:

Big Boy Week
It is becoming quickly apparent that Aaden is a few short months away from 3 years old. His vocabulary has expanded ten fold, he counts, knows the alphabet, sings about 8 different songs all the way through and can pick out some words in his favorite books. As his Mama, I can hardly believe how time has flown and how in a few short weeks he will be a big brother!
Continuing with the big boy theme, my folks got Aaden a new trike and helmet this past weekend. We've been wanting to get him a bike for some time but haven't. Saturday was perfect weather and we had nothing on the agenda. After picking out his very own trike and helmet we headed home and patiently waited for Papa to assemble it all. He was so excited!
Another big adventure was converting his crib into a toddler bed. While we intend on getting him his own bed soon (so his brother can have the crib), we wanted to make the transition before brother came. He was so excited and partook in the whole disassembling and reassembling of his bed. Since then he has LOVED being able to get in and out of his bed on his own. He's very responsible and waits patiently for his parents to come get him up. He's continued to take naps and sleep great, we're so proud of him!

...still waiting...
Wow, is this it!? It even has a Lighting McQueen bell to match the helmet!
Yeehaw!
Sometimes it is nice to just sit and enjoy the bike too!

A bonus? Having Daddy be able to read to me while I'm in bed!
