Aaden & Asher

My good friend and former coworker and I had boys one month a part. We've kept each other sane over the last few years first with pregnancy issues, then with newborn stories and now with toddler stories. After all this time we finally were able to get the boys together away from a work function. We had a nice morning hanging out with her, Asher and her other two boys Cal and Whit. We were hoping for nicer weather to go swimming as they live on Lake Washington, but were happy to stay inside and play on the cool summer day.

A Weekend at Home

A summer weekend at home is a rarity. Thankful that we had family time to relax and enjoy one another's company. We did projects around the house, helped Kristofer deliver cakes, baked, detailed my dad's car while he and my mom are in Italy, did yard work and organized closets. All-in-all a productive, relaxing weekend!

Kristofer also got me a new lens for my camera (an early birthday present), it has been fun to play around with it too.

Been meaning to share - our newly painted door (with new hardware) and shutters. Honestly, it makes me so happy...curb appeal is huge for me!

I found some of these photos in Kristofer's stuff from high school. Not a lot has changed, just married with (count 'em) 13 kids between the guys and gals pictured! :-)

TBS Class of 2000

Saturday was Kristofer's 10 year high school reunion. There was a family picnic in the afternoon and then an adult only dinner in Steilacoom at a bar & grill on the water that evening. We had a fabulous time catching up with old friends of his. Many of the class have remained friends over the years so it was fun to see everyone and make all of the connections.

I won't be able to attend West Linn HS's 10 year reunion in a few weeks so was glad to be able to be included in all of the fun festivities for Kristofer.

Keeping Cool

We've had a great time playing with friends the last few days. The heat has been great as we were able to play in our friends' new kid pool and go to the splash park with other friends. Aaden is becoming quite the water baby. So much so that I've put up our pool in the backyard for an after dinner dip to cool off. He loves running around in his diaper and splashing. By the end of the way we've got one tired boy!
