Apologies and an explanation...
I'd have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with myself and my ability to keep up with photo taking and blogging these days. To say things are busy is an understatement! Our weekends are so full with cake deliveries all day Saturday for Kristofer and family events most Sundays, it has been crazy. Add on top of that each of our full time work schedules, Kristofer and I can hardly breath sometimes! Thankfully we're getting back into a work-out routine and having family time in the evenings or we'd all be going even more nuts!
All that to say in a few short weeks things will all be changing. We've worked really hard and prayed for a REALLY LONG time so that I could stay home with Aaden full time. For 20 months the timing has not been right, but come July 1st I will be able to stay home. I cannot hardly fathom the end of full time work, yes I am so desperately excited to be home, but these last few weeks are crazy. I will be saying goodbye to a community I've known for nearly 10 years. I've literally grown up working in the Career Center, graduated college, got married, bought a house, had a baby all while working my way up in the office. The women I've worked with have been my extended family!
On the flip side I am so looking forward to spending time with my son. It is becoming ever more apparent that he needs and wants me around more. My brother & mother-in-law have both said "he's so much more happy and more confident when you are home". That makes me more and more confident that we are making the right decision for our son and our family. A season of change as I've been calling it, something new and different.
So bare with me for a few more weeks and then look forward to new and different kinds of posts from a Mom who will be crazy busy in a new way.

Memorial Day Weekend
We have all had horrible colds over the last week and are finally on the mend. Just in time as Nana and Papa came to visit for the long weekend. February was the last time they had made the trek up to our place as my Mom had knee surgery in March. It was great to have them back at the house and fun to hang out and have them help with our "sick-o" recovery. Aaden slept 14+ hours every night with 3-4 hour naps during the day. This gave Mom and Dad plenty of time to sleep in! :-)
On Saturday my brother and Fiancée came over for dinner/games. We had a fun time dancing around the house and hanging out. Sunday I took my mom to the "Y" for her physical therapy routine in the pool and weight room. To my wondrous surprise we stayed for 3 hours and I got to walk/jog nearly 6 miles, do core/back/chest workout. So great to have that much time to workout!
Monday we invited Gramma Renee' and Grampa Terry over for a grandparents BBQ. The weather wasn't great but we were able to spend a little while outside playing in the garden, measuring for our summer sandbox project and watching Papa practice fly-casting. We had a great steak dinner lovingly prepared by Kristofer followed by card games. A nice 3-day weekend after "the crud"!
I borrowed a few photos from my mom's camera:
