Apologies and an explanation...

I'd have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with myself and my ability to keep up with photo taking and blogging these days. To say things are busy is an understatement! Our weekends are so full with cake deliveries all day Saturday for Kristofer and family events most Sundays, it has been crazy. Add on top of that each of our full time work schedules, Kristofer and I can hardly breath sometimes! Thankfully we're getting back into a work-out routine and having family time in the evenings or we'd all be going even more nuts!

All that to say in a few short weeks things will all be changing. We've worked really hard and prayed for a REALLY LONG time so that I could stay home with Aaden full time. For 20 months the timing has not been right, but come July 1st I will be able to stay home. I cannot hardly fathom the end of full time work, yes I am so desperately excited to be home, but these last few weeks are crazy. I will be saying goodbye to a community I've known for nearly 10 years. I've literally grown up working in the Career Center, graduated college, got married, bought a house, had a baby all while working my way up in the office. The women I've worked with have been my extended family!

On the flip side I am so looking forward to spending time with my son. It is becoming ever more apparent that he needs and wants me around more. My brother & mother-in-law have both said "he's so much more happy and more confident when you are home". That makes me more and more confident that we are making the right decision for our son and our family. A season of change as I've been calling it, something new and different.

So bare with me for a few more weeks and then look forward to new and different kinds of posts from a Mom who will be crazy busy in a new way.

  3. It is nice to hear that you feel so good about being withe Aaden. He is such a fine little guy and deserves the best possible which is having his Momma during his early years. Being a Momma is a huge responsibility and you carry it out with such grace. Love you so much,

  5. Sarah-so happy for you! Its a big transition, but soo rewarding! I am still in the midst of believing that I get to stay home and be with Jonah-such a blessing. It's a hard transition from going full time in the corporate world to full time mommyhood-but soo worth it! Enjoy!
