Goodbye Dynon

The last month has been full of changes for the Dobelstein family. One of the biggest changes was Kristofer's decision to leave Dynon Avionics after (accumulative) 8 years. He will be joining the team at Astronics in Redmond, WA come July 2nd. He leaves behind a lot of hard work, dedication and lasting friendships. We are excited about this next big adventure and thankful for the showering of blessings upon our family.

On his last day, the kids and I stopped by to say goodbye to everyone and take a few pictures. We helped dad pack up and then headed out to Starbucks for a celebratory drink.

Onward and upward!

The owner of Dynon, John T. has been a great mentor!
 Hasta lavista!

A week in Portland

The kids and I have made it a habit to spend a week with my folks every 3 months or so. I get the opportunity to work with an amazing movement & progressive fitness trainer (http://progressivefitnesscentertestsite.wordpress.com/). The boys get the chance to play, more space to roam, new toys to discover etc. and we all get to enjoy Nana and Papa's company. We of course see friends and extended family too. We are always extremely busy during the week and go by way too quickly. Thankfully we had great weather while we were there this time and got to play outside too...
I took a lot of pictures, here is a handful from the week:

My mother's wonderful friend Lynell (center) joined my folks' church and got baptized.

We went to the local toy store and played with all of the fun toys!

Had to check out the train crossing

Where's Papa? Hiding behind a tree, "hi, Papa"!

Aksel decided to ride Owen. He's practicing being a big brother! :)
 "Pound it, Aksel"!
My good friend, Denee' with some of our kiddos (my baby was napping, her's is still in the tummy)!
Meeting our cousin Asher, he's so sweet!
Related!?

 Splash park, fun!

 Hiking in the woods!
We opened up the pop-up trailer and hung out, it was so fun!
Then the Jonses showed up! We love Aunt Ellen
 ...and Uncle Randy!
 Father's day fun.

TeeBall - Game 1

It has been a busy few weeks in the Dobelstein household {more updates to come}. One of the fun changes has been for Aaden. He joined tee ball at the Y and began practicing several weeks ago. His first game was last Saturday, it was a hoot. Playing anything with 3/4 year old kids is challenging, playing an organized game of tee ball is an even bigger challenge. Their first practice consisted of running around and sliding through the mud, trying to throw a ball in the general direction of their partner and taking a team potty break in the forest.  Game day wasn't much different. When Owen and I arrived on the scene, Aaden was in the outfield laying in the grass while Kristofer stood nearby. He got a chance to bat 3 different times and run the bases. By the second inning I took over fielding with him and he actually was able get a few grounders and throw to first base. More games and pictures to come!
