Quick Post

Blogging, photo taking, photo editing...baah - I am so behind! It is increasingly more difficult for me to find time to do all of those things listed. I seem to snap a few pictures here and there and then they just sit on the camera. I have been taking online classes in both photo taking and editing. Enjoying both, but finding time to even finish the webinars is just not happening.

So...rather than get bogged down in the details of it all. I'm starting from today forward. Yes, I will likely post more pictures of the last month...{maybe} some day. For now though...here's what Aaden and I were up to today {keeps us busy on a daily basis}...chores!

He is a great helper and excels at anything that helps his Mom! :)

May Day!

I love the tradition of placing flower baskets on people's porches on May Day. I decided to get Aaden involved in the tradition. He decorated some baskets with markers and stickers, helped me pick out flowers at Trader Joes and put together the ensemble. We then went around our neighborhood delivering the gifts. He loved it and talked about the surprises the rest of the afternoon. Perfect!

Sunshine!

We are so sun and warm weather deprived that any chance to get outside is a huge relief. Several weeks back the weather jumped to around 70 degrees and sun. Of course, the boys and I ran outside in our "summer" clothes and basked in the rays.

Aaden decided to bring his entire bedroom outside and Owen loved having all his toys at hand. This Mama, just laid down in the grass and smiled.

Hopefully more warm, sun is to come.

Ahhh!

Yeah, trying to get them to pose together. Ha!

To the Zoo!

I am sorrily behind on blogging these days. It seems every chance I sit down to do some photo editing and blogging, my kiddos figure out a way to keep me off the computer! They are currently in a tag-team napping scenario where as soon as I put one down, the other wakes up. I think they are in cahoots! :)

Regardless, here are a few pictures from a recent trip to the zoo. We went with Kristofer's folks a few weekends back. The weather was fabulous and the boys had a lot of fun with their grandparents.

Easter 2012

We spent Easter in Portland this year with my family. The weather was lovely and we got to spend some quality time together. We were able to attend the Holy Week services and go to church for the first time post-church fire. There were 600+ people packed into the high school gymnasium. It was quite something to be able to celebrate Christ's Resurrection with everyone!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

 Egg dying with Nana
Pioneer Women - Hot Cross Buns (totally awesome)!
Lemon meringue pie (yum)!

7 Months

A slightly belated post -- Owen turned 7 months at the beginning of April and since I had a bunch of pictures of him from this month, I thought I'd write a few highlights:

1. Owen LOVES food. Mostly solid food that he can feed himself. He is happiest if he gets to be included in the food we are eating. He's excelling at his pincer grasp and is persistent about getting himself fed. He also loves to drink from a sippy cup.

2. He sits up regularly and spends a lot of time exploring the house by doing a modified army crawl and flipping.

3. Just this week he decided that sleeping 12-13 hours solid was finally for him. Fingers crossed this is a new schedule (we're going on 3 nights now). He still naps 2-3 times a day for 1-2 hours.

4. He's quickly weaning himself and only occasionally (3-4 times a day) asks to nurse. Where has the time gone!?

5. He has started saying "Ma-Ma"! You may think he doesn't mean it, but he really only says it to me when he is quite fussy and needs help. It is pretty cute.

6. We got him a Johnny Jump Up because he LOVES to jump. As you can imagine he has great fun giggling and jumping.

Aren't Daddy's Fun?

Kristofer has been working a lot lately. We are so proud of all his hard work! Sometimes it is hard to remember that although the kids may only see him for an hour or two a few times a week, he's still really involved with them. I had fun looking through the pictures from the last month and seeing all of the fun/silly things he's been up to with the boys.

 Puzzles with Aaden
 Giggling with Owen
Dressing up Owen as a Biker baby
 Blocks with Aaden
 Video games with Owen
Boy hugs!
